KWH Book Club

Who can join? 
Anyone who loves to read and discuss books! 
 

​What will we do? What are the requirements? 
  • Prior to the first meeting each month, you will read one book from the Florida Teens Read or Project Lit nominations lists. We will discuss the books in our meetings and you will vote for your favorite during the voting window that occurs in the spring. During the second meeting each month, we will discuss other books you are currently reading, favorites, and  recommended reads.      
  • Book Club members will also help organize and plan events to Celebrate Literacy Week, TeenTober , and Banned Books Week.    
  • Members will also help create and regularly update Media Center book displays.   

​Officers Officers will be elected at our second meeting. 
When/where will we meet? 
​2nd + 4th Wednesday, from 2:45-3:30(ish) in Media Center  ​


​What are the requirements? 
  • Be present at the club meetings. 
  • Read the books prior to each meeting.  
  • Be respectful during meeting discussions.  
  • Pay $5 dues OR sign up to bring refreshments to at least one meeting.  
  • Actively participate in planning and organizing events for the 3 special weeks.
  • Create at least one creative Media Center book display.  
  • Participate in teacher appreciation projects in conjunction with other service clubs.  
  • Members who wish to volunteer in the Media Center for community service hours may do so after school on Mon-Thurs until 3:30.
